The Centre d'Etudes et de Recherches Administratives, Politiques et Sociales (CERAPS) is a Joint Research Unit (UMR 8026) of the University of Lille, the CNRS and the IEP of Lille. It is a laboratory of the Maison Européenne des Sciences de l'Homme et de la société (MESHS).
It is attached to training courses in political science (master's degree in political science) and public law (master's degree in digital law), and brings together researchers, teacher-researchers and doctoral students in political science and public law as well as in sociology.
The CERAPS has 11 ITA/BIATSS (5 CNRS staff, 6 people from the University), 9 CNRS researchers, and 48 teacher-researchers, mainly in the Faculty of Legal, Political and Social Sciences and the Institute of Political Studies of Lille, but also in other components of the University of Lille. The CERAPS also hosts about fifty doctoral students, two-thirds of whom are funded.
Since November 2018, CERAPS is officially associated with the CPDS (Centre for Research on Social Development and Policy) of the University of Montreal in the framework of the International Associated Laboratory (LIA) Principe (Informal Practices of Politics).
